Ravens-Themed Scratch-Off Ticket Sold At MGM National Harbor Lands Maryland Man $200K Prize

It was a scratch-off ticket, not success at the tables or solid sports betting that landed a Maryland man a $200,000 jackpot at the MGM National Harbor Hotel and Casino in Oxon Hill.

"Rob" a veteran Lottery player, said that he was in the right place at the right time when he took a break from betting to pick up a Ravens X10 scratcher that landed him the six-figure prize.

The Prince George's County resident said that last week, he was finishing making his weekly football picks at the casino when the purple Baltimore Ravens-themed ticket caught his eye at the Lottery vending machine.

Days later, when the dust of Football Sunday settled, "Rob" decided to check on his scratch-offs, only to discover the $200,000 windfall.

“When I scanned the barcode, I couldn’t believe my eyes,” “Rob” recalled. “It said I won, so I scratched the rest of the ticket to see the winning numbers, and I almost shed a tear. I was mind-blown.”

There are big plans for the money, "Rob" said, stating he will help his daughter pay her college tuition, and hopes to be back in the winner's circle sooner than later.

"I picked up some tickets before I came here," he mused.
